Blood and Birth Blood, everything in sight was bathed in crimson. At the highest point of the Sanguine Lair, an enormous blood droplet hung, suspended in the air like an ever-beating heart. Drawing in and Pumping forth, drop by drop, until the flowing blood gathered into a pool, flooding everything in sight—this was Alice's pool for nurturing Blood Demons. Years later, Dyrroth returned here for the first time. As he stepped into the pool, the crimson within resonated with the blood of his body, drawing him back to the recent "Dawnbreak" plan—what should have been the perfect invasion. Leading the Abyssal forces as their vanguard, Dyrroth had nearly submerged the entire Moniyan Empire into darkness on that moonless. starless night. Until she appeared, Princess Silvanna of the Empire, whose features bore a subtle resemblance to his own, emerged amidst the terrified prayers of countless citizens. Wielding her holy spear, she called him "brother".... Brother—a completely foreign word, yet like a spell woven by fate, it made Dyrroth hesitate. It was just for a fleeting moment, but Silvanna did not hesitate. Victory was decided in that instant, as foreign as that word was the dull pain of cold steel piercing his chest. How laughable. This so-called bond of blood... the first thing it brought Dyrroth was spilled blood. The blood flowed past his ankles, Dyrroth looked down at his legs, now twisted masses of grotesque muscle and jutting bone. Legs that could never belong to a human. His body had long since completed it's transformation, yet the wound from the holy spear in his chest refused to heal.... He had been gravely wounded and was still alive only because Alice had carried him away from the battlefield. She had left him to recover alone in the Sanguine Lair, her stronghold in the Abyss where she nurtured the Blood Demons—the very place where he had grown up. Years ago, Alice had snatched him from the Empire while he was still an infant, and in doing so, she also laid all of the Abyss before him as his birthright. The past in Dyrroth's memories wasn't the justice his "sister" proclaimed while brandishing her holy spear; what he remembered was Alice's constant companionship, Thamuz's teachings and all of the Abyss rejoicing at the birth of the "Son of Darkness"—and everything that had been destined since Dyrroth would fight for the Abyss He wasn't born a Demon but those Moniyans who claimed to yearn for his return have already revealed through their looks of terror and hatred. The Empire could never be his home. He had grown up in the Abyss and long since embraced it's savage ways. The child of the Abyss was destined to fight for it. Dyrroth threw his wrist blades into the pool of demon blood. The pool's transformation was meant to be irreversible—it was birth, and it was death. Blood Demons who had already been transformed had no reason to return, yet Dyrroth craved power. Whether to exact vengeance upon his "sister" or to return to the Abyss... The Abyss revered strength, and he knew he must become stronger. Dyrroth descended into the pool. The crimson liquid surged, engulfing his body. His wrist blades, now gorged with the power of the Abyss, pierced through his still-wounded chest. Suspended between life and death, the light of the Empire and the darkness of the Abyss clashed within him, ripping and tearing at each other before finally merging into one. The boundary between death and rebirth resolved and the light and darkness within him became forever inseparable. Drop by drop, the suspended blood orb pulsed its crimson essence into the pool, gradually synchronizing with Dyrroth's heartbeat. Before the dawn could break, Dyrroth opened his eyes and gazed towards the Empire—Soon he would return to the Moniyan Empire and show the world the power of the "Prince of the Abyss" through overwhelming power. No longer hesitant, he would sever the blood ties that shackled him with his own hands, with blood as a tribute to complete this grand reunion "I awoke from the Abyss to extinguish the Light"
