Viper is a Netherdrake whose origins lie deep beneath the world's surface, in the luminous caverns of the Nether Reaches—an ancient realm where his species dwelt undisturbed for millennia until geological upheaval isolated them from the surface world. His captivity began when a tyrannical sorcerer discovered and imprisoned him, seeking to dominate the creature through dark magical bindings. Rather than resist openly, Viper adopted a calculated approach, feigning compliance while studying the wizard's arcane techniques. However, he soon came to understand that his natural arsenal—a potent, corrosive venom—proved far more formidable than any spell his captor could conjure. Using this innate toxin to dissolve his cage and blind his oppressor with acidic spray, Viper escaped his bonds and emerged into the wider world as an unfettered force of nature, declaring himself master of his own fate.
Viper Skills
- Poison Attack: Intensifies Viper's venom, adding an effect to his normal attack that applies a stacking movement speed slow and magic resistance deduction while dealing damage over time. Stacks up to %max_stacks% times.
- Nethertoxin (Passive): Viper releases a Nethertoxin at the targeted area. Units in that area take an increasing damage over time based on how long they remain in it. Units in it have their attack speed slowed.
- Corrosive Skin: Viper exudes an infectious toxin that damages and slows the attack speed of any enemy that damages it in a %max_range% radius. The acid exudate also increases Viper's resistance to magic.
- Nosedive (Passive): Viper slams into the ground, releasing a Nethertoxin and splattering each enemy in a %corrosive_radius% AoE for %effect_duration% seconds with the effect of Corrosive Skin.
- Predator: Viper's attacks deal an additional instance of physical damage per missing health percentage of the target hero.
- Viper Strike: Viper slows the targeted enemy unit's movement and attack speed while also disabling their passives and dealing poison damage over time. The slowing effect reduces over the duration of the poison.
