# Shadow Demon A supremely ambitious entity among the demon hierarchy, Shadow Demon distinguishes himself through an obsessive fixation on the material plane—a preoccupation that sets him apart from his peers. While other sovereigns like Doom show indifference toward mortal affairs and Shadow Fiend visits only for specific purposes, Shadow Demon views mastery of this dimensional plane as essential to achieving total dominion across all realities. ## Rise and Fall Shadow Demon's ascent began modestly, summoned by apprentice sorcerers whom he manipulated through seemingly benevolent wish-granting and displays of escalating power. His deceptions proved so effective that increasingly powerful practitioners—from master demonologists to earthly rulers reliant on dark magic—believed themselves his master. In truth, Shadow Demon systematically eroded their identities and subsumed their consciousness into his collective will, transforming hundreds into hollow extensions of his malevolence. This period of unchecked expansion came to an abrupt end when Shadow Fiend detected Shadow Demon's essence within a corrupted soul. Recognizing the threat to the delicate Umbral Pact's equilibrium, Shadow Fiend and Doom made a rare alliance. Their combined supernatural forces devastated Shadow Demon's vast cult network, obliterating centuries of careful scheming and reducing his followers to ruin. All that survived was an infinitesimal fragment of shadow—indestructible and irreducible, yet seemingly insignificant. ## Reconstruction From this microscopic seed, Shadow Demon began his patient resurgence across the ages. Whatever his essence touched became corrupted and twisted. Gradually, disparate corrupted elements coalesced and reformed, eventually reconstituting him into a shape surpassing his original form. With his rebuilt architecture stripped of former vulnerabilities, his designs for infinite conquest approach fruition. Despite representing an existential threat to creation itself, Shadow Demon remains far from isolated. He continues to attract devoted followers willing to serve his ambitions.
Shadow Demon Skills
- Disruption: Banishes the targeted unit from the battlefield for a short duration. Upon returning, two illusions of the banished unit with bonus base damage are created under Shadow Demon's control.
- Disseminate: Whenever the target takes damage, all enemies, including the target itself if it is an enemy, within %radius% range of the target also receive a portion of that damage. Can target enemy and allied units. Effect is paused if the target is hidden by Disruption.
- Shadow Poison (Passive): Deals damage in a line, and afflicts enemy units with a poison effect. The poison deals 1/2/4/8/16 times the stack damage based on the number of stacks on the target, up to %max_multiply_stacks% stacks. Additional stacks cause %bonus_stack_damage% damage each. This deferred damage is dealt when Shadow Poison's duration is expired, or the Release sub-ability is used.
- Demonic Cleanse: Cleanses the target allied unit, removing negative buffs for the duration. At the end of the duration, the unit is healed. Units under the effect of Disruption can still be affected by Demonic Cleanse.<br><br>DISPEL TYPE: Basic Dispel
